KidZaam Dental Group
A fun and unique opportunity to build completely outside the norm.
- Date: 2018
- Project Type: Commercial Building
About this Project
We feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to work on KidZaam Dental’s Prescott Valley office because it was completely outside the norm.
The goal: to create a Disney-like experience for pediatric dentistry patients. Dr. Higgins consulted with Disney Imagineers, working with them on design that included fun effects like slime, neon movement, and fiberglass molds inside and outside.
He came to us with a vision, and we were lucky enough to work with talented designers and design groups to bring to life elements you wouldn’t find in any “normal” construction project.
This building was anything but typical, and we had to work outside our standard construction methods and parameters to create elements that look like they’re from a different place in time. We had very few straight lines: the roof lines are tapered and cartoonish and the windows are out of plumb and square.
This project was fun. It allowed us to explore our creativity as carpenters and construction people to create a vision we’d never seen before (well, not outside the Disney experience!).
The KidZaam dental offices are recognizable landmarks locally, and we’re proud to have been involved in their creation.
